Founder & Korean Teacher
Mr Rakgyun Shin
Rakgyun has been teaching Korean for more than 4 years and love teaching Korean.
He studied linguistics at University College London, and worked as a research assistant at SHaPS, UCL.
He is currently on working for his PhD in Linguistics at Lancaster University, studying sociophoenetics of Korean immigrants in the UK.
His Master's thesis was on the accent accommodation between North and South Korean speakers in New Malden, the biggest Koreatown in Europe.
His work based on his MA thesis was orally presented in the 20th ICPhS in 2023.
His class is very fun and mostly focused on the grammar, pronunciation, and above all, conversational practices.
The students will have lots of chances to practise their speaking as well as listening & reading with the audiovisual mateirals provided by the teacher.
